A little more about Transformative Grief Yoga
Pain and grief live in the body-and so does healing. A Transformative Grief Yoga class offers a supportive space to honor your journey as you embrace inner wholeness. Partnering curiosity of thoughts and feelings with movement, breath and sound, you’ll be invited to connect with places where you feel stuck. This connection offers a way forward as you release what no longer supports you and embrace empowerment and love for yourself and others.
-No yoga experience needed
-All bodies and emotions welcome
-Come as you are, leave feeling seen, heard and loved
1
What do I wear to practice Transformative Grief Yoga?
Participants are invited to wear whatever they are comfortable moving in: sweatpants, shorts, yoga pants, t-shirts, tank tops are all great options for this practice.
2
What if my body is not flexible?
Transformative Yoga can be done from a mat or a chair. It is not so much about physical flexibility as it is about being curious about what’s dwelling in ones heart and mind. This practice invites connection through movement as a way to release areas where you may feel stuck.
3
Do I have to talk about grief?
No one is expected to talk. Grief Yoga, like all Yoga practices, invites people to move in ways that support them in their body and mind. You are in total control of moving or remaining still the entire time.
4
Do I need to have a yoga mat?
Yoga mats, as well as other props (blocks, bolsters, blankets) are available for you to use.
